Research Interests. My areas of study are the psychology of language and its interactions with cognition, developmental psychology, and education. In recent years, my research concentrates in four main lines: 1) the language-thought relationship from a Cognitive Linguistics perspective, 2) the importance of language use and narrative construction in areas of education, 3) the study of frames (framing) media and construction of opinion on social and political issues, and 4) relationship between cultural transmission and the evolution of language. The research methodology I use is interdisciplinary: quantitative data analysis, experiments with human subjects, and discourse analysis.
