Research Interests. My research area is applied algebraic geometry. I am mainly interested in its applications to optimization, probability, coding theory and complexity.
I graduated from Cornell in 2007 under the direction of Mike Stillman and went to UC Berkeley as a Morrey Assistant professor under the supervision of David Eisenbud and Bernd Sturmfels. I am an associate professor at Universidad de los Andes. I spent 2016 as a visiting faculty member at Universidad de la Republica in Maldonado, Uruguay.
