Research Interests. My research area is applied algebraic geometry. My main areas of interest are the relationship between Classical Algebraic Geometry and other fields: initially Combinatorics, Commutative algebra and symbolic computation and lately also optimization, complexity theory and machine learning.

I graduated from Cornell in 2007 under the direction of Mike Stillman and went to UC Berkeley as a Morrey Assistant professor under the supervision of David Eisenbud and Bernd Sturmfels. Currently, I am an associate professor at Universidad de los Andes.

SIAGA: I am an associate editor for the [SIAM Journal on Applied Algebra and Geometry]. Please do send us your best work!
