I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. I majored in Physics with a Music minor at Universidad de los Andes from where I went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Geophysics at the University of Alberta in Edmonton (AB), Canada. I worked as the MESSENGER postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism at the Carnegie Institution of Washington in Washington (DC), USA. Currently I am working as assistant professor at the department of Physics of Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
