Research

My research area is combinatorics and its application to other areas of mathematics, including commutative algebra, integer programming, logic, and number theory. Here is my publication list and my CV.

I obtained my Ph.D. in mathematics in 2007 from the University of Washington under the direction of Rekha Thomas.

Teaching

I teach a range of mathematics courses, especially in the areas of algebra and combinatorics. I am currently (in 2026-1) teaching linear algebra (MATE-1105) and commutative algebra (MATE 3106/4101). Here is a list of all of the courses I have taught.

Student Projects

I enjoy collaboration with students and supervising theses on topics ranging from combinatorics, abstract algebra, discrete probability, and algorithms. Here is a list of my current and past thesis students.
